Spring Fashion Forward
Because the weather may not always give us the clearest signals about when exactly spring has sprung, we love that the fashion world makes its own declaration of the season’s turning. You may already be seeing the fruits of some of these 2020 trends starting to flower in the fashion of those around you. It’s time for you to spring forward, dear ones, down to the details!
As always, we’re proponents of trusting the time-tested designer handbags you can find in resale to reflect a given trend. Last month we outlined some of the looks that have carried over from 2019—though, obviously, they’re always evolving. Now we want to highlight some of the fresh takes that are stirring up the scene—including the runway’s take on bags specifically!
Bright Yellow
Cosmo reports that “buttercup” is the “it” color of Spring 2020. Deck yourself out in sunshine head-to-toe, or brighten up a staple outfit by carrying the hue in a brilliant pop like in this Gucci Interlocking GG Crossbody or the Chanel Medallion Tote Jasmine pointed out in last week’s Staff Picks.
White Suits
Do you have to wait until after Easter to wear white? We don’t think so. And we love that Elle is spreading the word about white suits this spring. We highly encourage you to double down on the clean monochrome look with a structured white handbag like this Chloe Small C Double Carry Bag.
Or, if you can, go for the pristine Hermès Birkin in all white. (Did we mention financing is now available through Affirm?)
Polka Dots
Everyone will be wearing polka dots this season, but you can give the sweetheart look a little twist with a Louis Vuitton Kusama monogram shown here on a Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet.
Big, Slouchy Bags
And while mini bags don’t seem to be going away any time soon, it was their opposite that showed up on the runway…in a big way. Isn’t it great when high fashion actually points to something functional? We recommend the easy going Gucci Large Blue Bamboo Shopper Tote with a shoulder strap or the large and in charge Chanel Button Up Hobo.
