Spotlight: The Louis Vuitton Neverfull

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull is perennially a top seller for us at Keeks, which makes sense due to its fan-favorite status since its debut in 2007. It’s the perfect example of form meeting function: the reinforced double stitched straps and thick chapes allow this workhorse to hold up to 200lbs despite its more delicate silhouette. We also love that it can fold up easily to stash in a suitcase and has come with a removable pouch (perfect to use as a wallet or clutch) since 2013. Much like many Louis Vuitton styles, the Neverfull comes in 3 sizes: GM, MM and PM. The Neverfull GM is an ideal diaper bag, work tote, or "personal item" for travel. The MM is the perfect everyday bag due to its medium size, wide opening and sturdy non-slip straps. The PM is big enough to stash your essentials, but cute enough to carry on a date.

Of course I love the Neverfull because it’s one of our best-sellers, but this bag means much more to me than that: it was my very first designer handbag!! When I quit my job at Goldman Sachs to join my dad in business, he bought me a Damier Ebene Neverfull MM as a "signing bonus" (I took a huge pay cut, after all!). 15 years later it's still holding up... though after DAILY use it admittedly looks a little tired. At the time, it was $770 new (now $2170), so I'm killin' it from a cost per wear perspective (approx.16 cents and dropping)! This bag is a textbook example of a well-crafted, luxury piece holding up and paying off. Plus, Louis Vuitton could repair the handles and trim for a minimal cost.

You can't go wrong with the classic Monogram, Damier Ebene, or Damier Azur canvases, but I also LOVE that there are so many unique Neverfull prints and collaborations. There's a saying "if the shoe fits, buy it in every color,” and if you ask me, the same is true for this bag!!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post - stay tuned for more!

Carry on!
